The Seattle World’s Fair in 1962 brought early 60’s American culture together. From attendees that ranged from Elvis to Astronauts, the fair didn’t miss a beat when it came to putting Seattle on the map as a place that “invented the future.”
But there are pieces of the fair’s history that have gone unheard. Tonight, Jan.17, people will come share their stories of this monumental time in local history. There will also be a talk based on the book The Future Remembered: The 1962 Seattle World's Fair and Its Legacy by authors Paula Becker and Alan J. Stein.

The event will take place 7 p.m. at the Issaquah Public Library.

The Future Remembered: The 1962 Seattle World’s Fair and Its Legacy is a new, coffee-table-style book filled with fascinating history, stories and pictures to celebrate the fair’s upcoming 50th anniversary.
