Whole Foods has announced an opening date for its 365 By Whole Foods store in Bellevue.
The new store, which is part of a new concept store by the company, will open Sept. 14 at Bellevue Square. It will also be home to the latest incarnation of Seattle’s Wild Ginger Kitchen, selected as a “Friend of 365” partner.
It will bring a grocery element to The Bellevue Collection. It will be accessible via the southeast parking garage.
The Bellevue location will be the third store in the 365 chain. The first 365 store opened in May in the Silver Lake neighborhood of Los Angeles. A second location is set to open July 14 in Lake Oswego, Ore. The company is planning on having 10 stores in 2017.
“We anticipate that Bellevue, like Silver Lake, will appeal to a broad set of customers who are excited by a new shopping experience as well as current customers who are familiar with our quality standards and shop at the nearby Whole Foods Market,” said Jeff Turnas, president of 365 by Whole Foods Market.
Bellevue was chosen because the company sees it as a growing community.
Wild Ginger Kitchen will be the Friend of 365 restaurant, a concept which brings at least one restaurant to each 365 store to showcase local businesses. Wild Ginger Kitchen will have a fast-casual dining area inside the store.
“Their culinary values completely align with 365 by Whole Foods Market’s customer-centric, foodie-focused business,” said Turnas.
Another feature of the grocery store will be online ordering and delivery via Instacart. Whole Foods Market first partnered with the service in 2014. Shoppers can order via Instacart.com or the Instacart mobile app.
