While you might like to admit that you didn’t forget about buying a last minute Mother’s Day gift for your mom or wife, let’s face it, life happens and sometimes we just forget.
Cue Amazon Prime Now, a service available to Amazon Prime members wherein they can browse thousands of items and receive free lightning-fast delivery in two hours, or even one hour if they are willing to pay a $7.99 delivery fee. This service is available in more than 30 cities including the Seattle Metro area.
Many of the products available through this service are prime (pun intended) gifts for Mother’s Day (May 14) like an array of journals and stationary from Minted, Mother’s Day cards from Hallmark, as well as several votives, drinkers, and tea lights from Seattle- and Bellevue-based glassybaby.
Created by Lee Rhodes — a three-time cancer survivor — each vibrant glassybaby hand-blown votive color contains a significant name and story making them a lasting, thoughtful gift for mom. Moreover, 10 percent of all glassbaby sales go to charitable causes and organizations that help animals, people, and the planet through the company’s white light fund.
“Gaining access and visibility in front of Prime members through Prime Now will enable us to raise even more money for deserving organizations that help people, animals and the planet heal, by providing thoughtful, meaningful gifts to people who want a convenient and fast option for gift-giving,” Rhodes said in a statement.
In order to participate in Prime Now, you must be a Prime member and live within the delivery boundaries. While many Eastside cities are within the delivery boundaries, it is best to enter the delivery zip code in the top left corner of the Prime Now website to ensure the delivery location is eligible.
