3 to See: A Drive-in Opera, a Science Class, and a Gardening Workshop

Drive-in Opera 

Join the Northwest African American Museum and Seattle Opera for a drive-in opera honoring Black history. “A Night at the Opera: Celebrating Black Voices” will be held March 20 in the Museum of Flight’s main parking lot. Music to be performed by Black artists includes traditional hymns, arias, and more. To purchase tickets, click here 

Virtual Science Class for Kids 

Tune into the Pacific Science Center’s “Peace of Mind” class to learn about how the brain functions. The free course is designed for grades third through sixth. The event is March 22 from 6-7 p.m. For a complete list of the weekly science classes and to enroll, click here 

Online Workshop for Growing Peas

Discover how to grow vegetables of the pea family with the nonprofit Master Gardener Foundation of King County. Register ahead of the Zoom workshop on March 24 by clicking here. Upcoming workshops will cover topics like the tomato family, cucumber family, and how to deal with weeds and watering.
