Skagit Acres Introduces Itself

The team behind Skagit Valley’s Tulip Town has announced a new project. It has purchased Skagit Acres, a leading home and garden center formerly known as Skagit Valley Gardens. The change comes just in time for Mother’s Day: Skagit Acres currently has available 14-inch ($79.95) and 18-inch ($139.95) hanging baskets to commemorate the yearly holiday. More here.

Ballet Northwest’s The Sleeping Beauty

Ballet Northwest announced recently that it will be presenting a film version of The Sleeping Beauty over Mother’s Day weekend (Saturday and Sunday at 1 and 7 p.m.). Those interested can either see it in person at the Washington Center for Performing Arts ($20) or watch it at home through streaming ($30). More here.
