3 to See (At Home): Virtual Exploration

Virtual Museum Tours Across the Globe

Grab some snacks, a cozy blanket, and go on a virtual museum tour from the comfort of your couch! Google Arts & Culture has worked with myriad museums and galleries to bring you virtual tours of some of the world’s most famous museums. The collection includes 12 different museums such as the National Gallery of Art in Washington D.C., Musée d’Orsay in Paris, the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Seoul, the Guggenheim Museum in New York, and numerous others. These virtual tours are a great way to stay entertained with some cultural enlightenment — much better than binge-watching that same show on Netflix again. Check them out here!

Metropolitan Opera Live Streams

Always wanted to go to the Metropolitan Opera in New York City? The opera house is the height of class — an exclusive event. But it recently announced that it’s opening its doors to the public via a live streaming of its performances for the duration of its closure. Through March 31, opera fans can tune into the nightly Met Opera Streams beginning at 4:30 p.m. and the performance will remain on the Met’s homepage for a full 20 hours following the performance. Get gussied up at home or watch the spectacular performance in your PJs — no judgement here. Your night at the opera is only a click away.
