3 to See: Chocolate, Puppies, and Festival of Lights

Haunted Factory Tour

If you’re already in the Halloween spirit, Seattle Chocolate’s Haunted Factory Tour is a perfect blend of sweet and spooky. At the Tukwila factory, you can help cast an evil spirit from the factory floor with the help of Ixcacao, the goddess of chocolate. The tour will be filled with chocolatey goodies and runs just 20 minutes, making it great for families with young kids. The tour is available two weekends only — October 17-20, and 24-27 – from 5 to 8 p.m. Tickets are $10 for children, $12 for adults, and can be found on the Seattle Chocolate website.

Puppy Pop-Up

This Saturday, home and lifestyle retailer Anko will celebrate National Adopt a Shelter Dog Month with a Puppy Pop-Up. At their Burien location from 11-3 p.m., there will be activities for you and your pup, including complementary treats from The Seattle Barkery and puppy portraiture by Best Friend Photography. And if you’re looking to add a furry friend to your family, the Adams County Pet Rescue also will have adoptable animals on site. Admission is free. Find more information here.

Diwali Festival of Lights Bellevue Collection

India’s largest celebration is coming to the Bellevue Collection this Saturday. From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Bellevue Square will celebrate Diwali with cultural displays, dancing workshops, and live performances from Seattle Maharashtra Mandal. Traditionally spanning five days, Diwali is a vibrant festival that celebrates new beginnings and symbolizes the victory of light over darkness. Saturday’s event also will feature huge floral displays, crafts, and henna artists. While you’re there, you can enter an Instagram contest for your chance at a $250 gift card.
