3 to See: It’s Officially Holiday Season

Renton Tree Lighting & Light Show

Whether you’re all decked out for the holidays or in the post-Thanksgiving camp, you can get a dose of Christmas cheer this Saturday at the Landing in Renton. From 6 to 8 p.m. on Nov. 16, the plaza will host its annual Tree Lighting and Laser Light Show. At 6:15 p.m., Santa will swoop in to light the tree at the plaza across from Regal Cinemas, Afterwards, attendees can meet and greet with St. Nick, his reindeer, and friends; enjoy live musical performances from local school groups; and watch a dramatic laser light show, complete with falling snow. Yappy Holidays Craft Bazaar

Redmond’s Motley Zoo is a rock ‘n’ roll themed, foster-based animal rescue that has facilitated nearly 2,800 adoptions since opening in 2009. This Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., they’re hosting a Yappy Holidays Craft Bazaar at their studio in Redmond. The family and pup-friendly event will feature local artisans, baked goodies, and holiday photos for you and your pooch. Proceeds from vendor booths, bakes sales, and raffles will benefit the rescue.

Washington Distillers Festival

Ten distilleries from Woodinville to Whidbey Island will showcase their spirits at this Friday’s Washington Distillers Festival. From 6 to 10 pm. at McMenamins’ Anderson School, you can sample craft spirits from local liquor makers and bid on hotel stays and limited-edition bottles in the silent auction. Tickets are $35 plus tax and come with 10 tasting tokens. Find a full list of distillers and tickets online.
