Wine & Workshop at BAM
Turn your trash into treasure this Friday, Jan. 31, at the Bellevue Arts Museum with Maria Phillips during her Wine & Workshop: Reuse, Recycle, Remake event. Bring several different pieces of jewelry that you no longer have any use for, and learn how to transform these pieces into a new, wearable work of art. The workshop takes place from 6 to 9 p.m. and includes an artist-led tour of the exhibition, Hidden in Plain Sight, followed by wine, appetizers, and artmaking. BAM members can purchase tickets for $40, non-members for $45.

When Opera and Lasers Meet
If you like laser shows or the opera, be sure to check out Bravo! Laser Opera this Saturday, Feb. 1 at the Pacific Science Center Laser Dome. This event will feature a live laser show choreographed to the soundtrack of Charlie Parker’s Yardbird, with opera inspired by his legacy. Bring some pillows and blankets and get comfortable. Snacks and beverages also will be available for purchase. Doors open at 8 p.m., and the show begins at 8:30 p.m. This is a 21+ event, and all viewers must have I.D. on them, $10 for tickets.
