3 to See: Make Mother’s Day Magical

With Mother’s Day just around the corner, it’s time to start getting those plans in place for the special day honoring that queen in your life! Although this year’s celebration may look a little different than last, there are still plenty of options to make Mother’s Day fun and festive, while also supporting some awesome local businesses.

Ma Ma Se, Ma Ma Sa, Ma Mimosa!

Start the day off with a delicious brunch and, of course, you can’t forget about those mimosas!

Water’s Table in Renton is offering a Mother’s Day Brunch it Up Meal Kit, complete with baking instructions and everything you need for a unbeatable brunch for four. Pick up your brunch a day ahead — on Saturday, May 9 — and choose a the delicious savory option, like the Pike Place Strata, or opt for the sweet option; we’re drooling over the Cinnamon Swirl French toast. Both come with delicious sides including spring berry salads, crispy bacon, and macaroons. Oh, and obviously mimosas!

The Pancake Corral in Bellevue is also offering Mother’s Day breakfast to-go. Known for its delicious breakfast options and beloved hotcakes, this is another option sure to impress Mom!

Mom-unmental Mother’s Day Activities

To keep the fun going throughout the day, participate in a virtual painting class with mom. BrushCapades in Seattle is hosting an online painting class: Mother’s Day Flowers! Taking place from 2–4 p.m. on Sunday, this virtual class will guide you step-by-step through the process of painting your beautiful Mother’s Day portrait. Simply provide the supplies for you and Mom, and you’re good to go (supply list will be provided when you register along with supply kits for purchase). This is a fun way to remember the special day with some beautiful art and an experience your mom can cherish forever.

Get mom a bouquet of some beautiful fresh flowers at Bickersons Brewhouse! On Mother’s Day from 2–6 p.m., the brewery will be having a local flower farm set up in its outdoor area. Help support a small local business while also putting a smile on mom’s face!

Sip, Sip, Rosé

Wind down the night with some delicious rosé from Chateau Ste. Michelle, and purchase a bottle (or a couple) of Le Rosé, recently back in stock. Or stock up on some of mom’s favorites and create your own six-pack featuring its Single Vineyard wines and save 15 percent through May 9. Either way, Mom will definitely love this gift.

Even though you aren’t able to go out and have that classic fancy dinner this Mother’s Day, you can still bring the fancy dinner home to you! Order a delicious Mother’s Day meal from The Lakehouse Bellevue to-go. Currently offering Mother’s Day meals for two, this is the perfect way to end the night in a nice, intimate way. Featuring grilled wagyu strip loin and a grilled King salmon filet for the entrees; and sides such as chopped spring vegetables, romaine salads, creamed kale, roasted potatoes, grilled asparagus, and more. Dinner comes with a bottle of red wine from Mark Ryan Winery and, for dessert, a lemon olive oil cake with strawberry rhubarb compote and Chantilly cream! Yum!
