3 to See: Story Time, Blueberries, and Blues

Stories for Grownups

Story time isn’t just for the kids — join the King County Library System every second and fourth Friday of the month for a virtual short story reading. At 11 a.m., the Zoom session is a perfect opportunity to relax and take a late morning coffee break from working-at-home. It’s like going to book club — but someone else does the reading! Register and learn more here.

U-Pick Blueberries

Bring your family to Larsen Lake to delight in the season’s blueberry harvest this month. Due to COVID-19, reserve a ticket before you go. While admission is free, the farm is limiting the number of people allowed — one ticket admits four people. The farm provides buckets with plastic lining to use for berry collection, but you can also bring your own. Berries are $2 per pound. You can reserve your ticket here.

Gas Station Blues

Aching to enjoy some live music this summer? Every Thursday from now until Aug. 27 you can stream Downtown Issaquah Association’s Virtual Gas Station Blues on YouTube. The concerts are from 7-9 p.m. and are free and suitable for all ages, making them a lovely evening activity for the whole family or a perfect at-home date night. Find out more about each week’s offering here.
