3 to See: Virtual Theater, Gourd Painting, and Pizza Night

Spotlighting Artists

Village Theatre is rebranding its online happy hours as “SPOTLIGHT: Sharing Stories. Creating Connections.” Every week, the series will feature an artist talk. The next episode — a chat with Rodney Hicks — is set for Sept. 30, and begins at 6:30 p.m. Learn more here. Previous episodes are available for free on the Village Theatre’s Facebook and YouTube channels.

Gourd Painting

Paint your own ceramic gourd with Glazed and Amazed this Saturday, Sept. 26, from noon to 5 p.m. Customers will paint at the studio (masks are required), leave the pottery at the studio for firing, and can pick up their creation in five to seven days. Glazed and Amazed is also offering paint-at-home kits for those who wish to do the glazing from home. Visit the Edmonds store’s website for more information.

Drive-in Movie and Pizza Night

Have an old-fashioned movie night in Edmonds this Saturday, Sept. 26, and enjoy Bombardier Blood at 8 p.m. This inspiring movie follows Chris Bombardier, who battles severe hemophilia, and his climb up Mount Everest. Free pizza will be provided by Papa Murphy’s; families will be called up individually to collect their meal to maintain social distancing. The event is hosted by the Bleeding Disorder Foundation of Washington. Learn more and RSVP by visiting the drive-in event’s Facebook page.
