Celebrate Labor Day Weekend with Chateau Ste. Michelle

Pumpkin spice season will soon be upon us, but you can squeeze in one last summer soirée this weekend at Chateau Ste. Michelle. On Sunday, the winery will host an all ages Labor Day Celebration, complete with live music, lawn games, and plenty of libations. Browse artisan booths, try your hand at a craft or two, or simply kick back on the lawn from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sept. 1.

Labor Day Half

If you’re looking to get active this weekend, there’s still time to register for the Overlake Medical Center Labor Day Half. Not one for hills? You’re in luck — the loop, which starts and ends at the Redmond Town Center, is one of Western Washington’s flattest half marathon courses. If shorter distances are more your speed, there’s also a Family 5k. The race begins bright and early at 8:00 a.m. on Sept. 2, with a Kid’s Run at 11:00 a.m. To register or get more information, check out their website.

Beer tasting with France’s La Boisse Brewery

Bordeaux may be famous for its wines, but it has something to satisfy ale lovers, too. This Wednesday, craft beer from France’s La Boisse brewery will make its stateside debut at Bellevue’s Cépaé Tasting Room. From 5-8 p.m., you can taste the manually-brewed beer, which is non-filtered, non-pasteurized, and re-fermented in the bottle. While the tasting is free, space is limited — you can grab your ticket on Eventbrite.
