“And the Academy Award Goes to…”

Ever wonder what’s it’s like to actually experience the Academy Awards — mingle with celebrities, dress to the nines, and enjoy a VIP experience? Century Ballroom in Seattle is offering just that with its Academy Awards viewing party on Feb. 24, where you can watch the show on a big screen, walk the red carpet, and meet local celebrities Waxie Moon and Rebecca Mmmm Davis. Tickets are $15 in advance; $20 at the door; or a VIP package for $95, which includes four tickets, reserved seating, table service, and unlimited truffle popcorn.

 

Seattle Comics Roast the Tech Generation

We’ve all joked that technology has both helped and hindered society, and the digital era is turning people into tech zombies. On Feb. 24, Parlor Live in Bellevue is hosting Socially Inept: A Comedy Roast, where some of the best local comedians will perform sets about the tech scene and roast volunteers from the audience. Bollyworks Fitness Class at Nordstrom

Exercising can get dull quickly, so mix up your routine at this free Bollyworks fitness class on Feb. 23 at Nordstrom in Bellevue. Master trainer Soumya Gogula will teach you how to move your body Bollywood style. Stick around after the class for a raffle and then shop some activewear. More information is available here.
