3 to See: Week of July 11

A Wild Northwest Weekend

It’s always a fun time whenever animals are involved, and what better way to get the kids out of the house than a casual day at KidsQuest Children’s Museum? On July 13 and 14, the Bellevue museum is hosting animal encounters complete with miniature horses, bugs, and reptiles. The Saturday and Sunday encounters vary slightly with the animals that are visiting and the special guests, like Acme Ice Cream and Crum Cakes and Cookies, that will be stopping by. Check the event page for more information.

Redmond Arts Festival is Back

The arts community is taking over Redmond this weekend with roughly 100 artists, designers, and craftspeople offering their unique works. The festival kicks off July 12 and runs through July 14 with live bands; sidewalk chalk for kids; and, of course, a bevy of handcrafted art. After you’ve perused the arts festival, take the shuttle bus over to Redmond Derby Days, which takes place July 12 and 13. More information can be found here
