3 to See: Week of July 18

Watch a Movie on the Everett Waterfront

The Port of Everett is kicking off its Sail-In Cinema series beginning tomorrow (July 19). The event is free, family-friendly, and right on the waterfront at Boxcar Park. The first showing on the 40-foot screen is Battleship at 9:10 p.m. The following weekend, they’ll be showing Transformers. Get there early to nab a good seat and partake in some games and fresh popcorn before the movie. For more information, visit the Port of Everett online. If Everett is too far from home, consider checking out the outdoor movie series in Kirkland at Carillon Point. On Saturday, Crazy Rich Asians will play at dusk. A $5 donation is suggested and will benefit Hopelink.

Live Music in Downtown Bellevue

Don’t reserve all the fun for the weekends. Maximize your lunch hour by taking it to one of the Live at Lunch Summer Concert Series locations from now until Sept. 12. This is the 19th year the Bellevue Downtown Association has presented this series and Virginia Mason Bellevue Medical Center is the exclusive title sponsor. Musicians will play every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from noon to 1:30 p.m. For the full schedule, clickhere.

Soak Up the Sunshine at Lake Sammamish

We’ve been wondering, what’s up with our summer? Where’s all that glorious sunshine we wait for every year? Well, you’ll be delighted to know sunshine is forecasted this weekend, so take advantage of it at the Parkadilly at Lake Sammamish. This kid-centric event includes a concert and fair from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will feature a petting zoo, crafts, trampoline jumping, and more.
