3 to See: Week of Jun 20

Celebrate the Start of Summer

The first day of summer is June 21, and the W Bellevue is ushering in our favorite season with a Summer Solstice Party. From 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday at The Porch, join in the festivities with special cocktails, fitness tips, tie-dye activities, and braid styling. The event is free and open to the public.

Sweat it Out for Charity

That morning workout wake-up call is made easier when it’s benefiting local children. Join Encompass, a local nonprofit dedicating to serving children and families, for a charity work out on June 22 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Decater Performance gym in Issaquah. Entrance fees are a minimum of $10, and the event is suitable for all fitness levels. Arrive 15 minutes early, so you can sign the waiver, and participants must be at least high-school-age or older to participate. For more information, visit here.

Learn to Communicate Better with Your Team

Team meetings can be painful, and sometimes you walk away feeling like nothing much was accomplished. To get past this and help people communicate more effectively, coach Jillian Avey is offering workshops with practical takeaways, so you can have better group communication and develop stronger relationships with your colleagues. The workshop is from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on June 26 at WeWork in Bellevue. This is part two in a three part series, but previous participation is not required.
