50 Years of the Northwest Railway Museum’s Santa Train Ride

A tradition since 1969, the Northwest Railway Museum has been celebrating history with day rides on the fully operational Snoqualmie Valley Railroad with coaches from a bygone era, traveling the same path of 1880s railways from North Bend to Snoqualmie. Every December, they decorate the coaches for special weekend trips to visit Santa, complete with cookies and cocoa, before meeting the Jolly Old Saint Nick at the historic Snoqualmie Depot. On Dec. 20, they’ll do a special Victorian-themed trip, highlighting the heyday of the railway age. It’s a memorable way for kids to travel through history and assure Santa they’ve maintained their Nice List status all year. Tickets are $28; schedule available online: trainmuseum.org
