Menus change along with the season. With the onset of fall, appetites are turning toward deliciously rich and hearty comfort foods — and Monsoon is serving up heaping platefuls. Its Saigon Peppercorn and 5-Spice Dungeness Crab dinner is back. The visually impressive crab dish is designed to be enjoyed by two, and can be eaten in person at the Bellevue location or ordered for takeout. Monsoon asks that orders are placed a day in advance, as this is a specialty dish and only available Wednesday through Sunday. dish. When a customer orders Cơm gà Hải Nam, they receive a whole chicken — poached until tender — served over rice flavored with enriched poaching broth. The dish is best accompanied by ginger/soy sauce and additional broth. Popular throughout Southeast Asia, it’s beloved and familiar, a dish that many have grown up with. We all deserve a bit of comfort food. Locations are in Bellevue and Seattle; for reservations or takeout information, visit Monsoon’s website: monsoonrestaurants.com.
