A small window in the floor of Bakery Nouveau in Burien reveals possibly the best-kept secret in the city: a chocolate factory operated by William Leaman, co-founder of the beloved bakery, who aims to become among the few bean-to-bakery makers of chocolate in North America.
Recently, the Peacock Series was released — 12 bars wrapped in gold foil and presented with an ornate label. The handcrafted bars are a flavorful work of art with ingredients that include shortbread cookies, honey roasted and candied Spanish peanuts, Murray River salt, and so much more. We guarantee you’ll have trouble picking just one. The bars are available at all three Bakery Nouveau locations and sell for $7 a bar.
