Celebrate Kirkland Celebrates July 4 Virtually

For the past 20 years, Celebrate Kirkland has hosted an Independence Day parade, community picnic, and an epic firework display. Due to public health and safety restrictions, many community members Fourth of July plans are swaying from tradition.

Nevertheless, the City of Kirkland, the Celebrate Kirkland Leadership Team, and Kirkland Downtown Association are hosting a virtual Celebrate Kirkland Fourth of July event. The online event starts at noon this Saturday and will be held by a multitude of online platforms such as the City Facebook page, the Kirkland Television YouTube channel, the Kirkland Granicus Stream, Comcast Cable Channel 21, and Ziply Cable Channel 31.

The patriotic sound of fireworks will be missed this summer, but Celebrate Kirkland is featuring a virtual firework show on its Facebook page at 10 p.m. on Saturday. The online display will feature pyrotechnics from the years before to bring the full celebration to life.
