To give back to the community and spread some kindness, Kirkland Urban has teamed up with Food Lifeline, a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending hunger in Western Washington. Kirkland Urban will host a recurring food drive, starting Thursday, March 4, and continuing weekly for the foreseeable future.

Members of the community are encouraged to spread the word on the issue of hunger and donate shelf-stable and canned goods to Kirkland Urban between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Thursdays throughout March. The donation station will be located in Fountain Court, near QFC and Shake Shack and 100% of donations benefit Food Lifeline.

Items most in need include:

– Beef stew/chili
– Peanut Butter
– Nuts
– Beans/legumes
– Rice & pasta
– Macaroni & cheese
– Sauces & spices
– Canned fruits
– Canned Vegetables
– Breakfast Cereal
– Oatmeal
– Baby food
– Infant formula
– Diapers
– Personal care items
