Cooking 101 with L’eau Pastry Cuisine Studio

Ranita He and her team of chefs at L’eau Pastry Cuisine Studio in Totem Lake offer a variety of cooking classes, team-building events, private dinners and small groups — even kids cooking camps are on the menu at L’eau.

He started her culinary journey as a food blogger, re-creating the flavors of Chinese cuisine while her studies took her abroad. When she realized how much she enjoyed cooking, she quit her job as a lab analyst at Duke University and headed to culinary school in Paris, working in Michelin-starred restaurants like Noma (Copenhagen) before landing in the Seattle area, where she taught cooking classes from her home.

She banded together with Anna Wang to launch L’eau, which is the French term for “water” and the basic ingredient for everything. Classes include pastry-a-plenty, American classics, Asian specialties, Spanish tapas, holiday treats, and Creole and Venezuelan themes.
