Date Night at the Fair

There are several key components to a perfect Fair date. Check out our tips on how to do it right!

If possible, take advantage of Happy Hour Thursday on Sept. 20, it’s the perfect excuse for a date at the Fair. Gate admission is only $7 after 7pm and also get two draft beers for just $7 in the Corona Cantina.

We suggest going in the later afternoon, so you can enjoy the daytime entertainment and exhibits and continue your good time into the evening (there’s just something about a sunset at the Fair).

Indulge in your favorite fair food for dinner, but maybe stay away from the grilled onion burger this time.

Don’t forget to share some cotton candy for dessert– a caramel apple is a bit messy, and let’s face it, no one wants to share their scone!

See who can win the biggest stuffed animal from the carnival games. Bring cash for tickets!

For the ride-loving couple, invest in Dizzy Passes from Sept. 17-20. Many of the rides at the fair involve close quarters, make sure you’re bringing a date you really like!

If you’re absolutely terrified of rollers coasters, but want to impress your date, the wooden roller coaster isn’t so bad (just under a minute of screaming).

End the night on a romantic note with a ride on the ferris wheel, if you’re lucky you’ll get a kiss at the top!

Do you have a story about a perfect (or not so perfect) date at the Fair? We’d love to hear it!
