Dinner with Jacques Pépin

On Sunday April 30, Jacques Pépin will be partnering with FareStart for an event called “Flourish: A Chef’s Dinner to Transform Lives.” Seven West Coast chefs, including five from Seattle (Tom Douglas, Sean McCrain, Thierry Rautureau, Holly Smith, and Jonathan Sundstrom) will cook an exquisite multi-course meal curated by Pépin.

Funds from ticket sales, donations, and a live auction will go to benefit FareStart and Pépin’s newly created foundation, The Jacques Pépin Foundation. Both organizations share a dedication to using food and culinary training as a tool to strengthen communities and create pathways to success. FareStart has been serving the local community since the late 1980’s, teaching life and job skills to the city’s most poverty-susceptible individuals including homeless, formerly incarcerated, and those in recovery from substance abuse.

The live auction will give participants a chance at some truly exceptional experiences including a private dinner with Jacques Pépin at Michelin 3-Star Eleven Madison Park in NYC, a spot on set for Pépin’s new television series, and a day in the kitchen at Chef Rick Bayless’s Frontera Grill among other items.
