Dué Cucina Now Open at Kirkland’s Village at Totem Lake

Shake off the winter chill with some delicious handmade Italian comfort fare at the newly opened Dué Cucina in Kirkland.

Owners and longtime friends Davide Macchi and executive chef Filippo Fiori captured the carb-craving hearts of Capitol Hill with their first restaurant in 2016. This new addition is giving Eastsiders a chance to savor Dué Cucina’s philosophy of traditional methods using fresh, high-quality ingredients while maintaining everyday affordability. (Their entrees range from $9 to $12.)

There will be a t-shirt giveaway on Saturday, Jan. 9 — buy two pastas and receive a special “In Pasta We Trust” t-shirt (while supplies last). And on Thursday, Jan. 14, there is a kid’s promotion, where if you purchase two pastas, you receive one free pasta.

Dué Cucina’s menu has a wide range of options, including classics like pasta amatriciana (which uses a house-cured guanciale) as well as a unique aglio e olio made with vegan-friendly noodles, savory roasted garlic, and olive oil infused with a little heat from Szechuan peppercorns.

Dué Cucina doesn’t just offer pasta – you also can try the delectable indulgence of porchetta in sandwich form, with slices of the slow-roasted stuffed pork belly between a split ciabatta roll. The restaurant additionally sells fresh pasta for at-home cooking, including a gluten-free option.
