Edmonds Halloween Costume Contest Goes Online

Edmonds has announced that its Halloween costume contest will go virtual this year. Due to COVID-19, the traditional Halloween event was canceled.

This event is made possible through the support of Community Transit and includes several categories, including “An Edmonds Kind of Hero,” pets, family/group costumes, and age-based categories. Residents will virtually vote for their favorite in each category through Oct. 30.

Winners will be announced on Halloween.

While this is a free event, donations to the “An Edmonds Kind of Hero” campaign is heavily encouraged. Due to pandemic-related setbacks, the Edmonds Chamber’s revenues are down. The organization hopes this event will allow it to keep its doors open beyond 2020.
