Not once, not twice — no, EvergreenHealth was recognized by U.S. News & World Report among the best hospitals in the Puget Sound region for the third time in a row this year. EvergreenHealth was ranked No. 3 in the Seattle Metropolitan area and No. 4 in the state of Washington. U.S. News determines the rankings from patient outcomes and overall satisfaction, as well as an evaluation of the hospital’s ability to develop and sustain quality care determined by expert opinion surveys of board certified physicians.
Along with the overall ranking, EvergreenHealth was given a high performance rating in three specialties and five procedures. This placed it in the top 10 percent of hospitals in patient outcomes for knee replacement for the fourth year in row, nephrology and colon cancer for the third year in row, and hip replacement and urology for the second consecutive year. EvergreenHealth’s patient outcomes for gastroenterology and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease was additionally recognized with a high performance rating.

University of Washington Medical Center, Virginia Mason Medical Center, Overlake Medical Center, and Providence Regional Medical Center Everett ranked in the top five hospitals in the Puget Sound.
