As we say goodbye to 2012 and ring in 2013, it’s exciting to see what new products and trends are on the horizon for the year. There’s no doubt that beauty is ever-changing and here’s a glimpse of some new entrants to the world of beauty.

Netflix meets Nail Polish?
Rent a bottle of nail polish online? Yep, that’s right.
Lacquerous is a new online service that allows lacquer junkies to dabble in the latest red carpet and runway nail trends without having to buy a full bottle of polish. For $18 a month (cheaper than the price of one luxury lacquer) subscribers will receive a selection of three designer lacquers from such brands as Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana and Tom Ford. The box of three lacquers is shipped with pre-paid return packaging. Once the company receives your return package, a new selection is shipped!
CC Creams the Next Big Thing?
Beauty mavens went bonkers for BB Creams (also known as “blemish balms” or “beauty balms”) but CC Creams could be making waves in 2013.
Described as the next generation of BB Creams, CC Creams (which stands for “color control” creams) promises to provide even more coverage than BB Creams with the added benefit of skin-nourishing ingredients. The lighter, mousse-like texture is also meant to be less oily, provide better sun protection and is said to give skin a more “radiant” look. CC Creams may still be a bit difficult to find in the United States but that could quickly change!
