Fashion Executives Share their Secrets

Being successful in the fashion industry isn’t just about being a brilliant designer, it takes business skills. From buying materials, to making deals with retailers to funding a website, everything takes money and a savvy sense of business. You can’t just have a good eye – you have to have a vision.

Fashion Group International recently launched “Executives in Fashion,” a series in which fashion leaders from all parts of the industry speak about their products, their challenges and what’s made them so successful.   Their last speaker was Harvey Kanter, CEO of the online jewelry company Blue Nile.

At 6pm on May 21 at Impact Hub Seattle (220 2nd Ave S., Seattle) they’ll welcome CEO of Julep Nails, Jane Park. According to FGI “Julep is one of the fastest growing beauty brands in the country, combining a unique blend of e-commerce and brick-and-mortar retail, supported by a powerful social media strategy.” Park and her products have been featured in FastCompany, O magazine, InStyle, Marie Claire and of course 425 magazine.
