Bellevue Teen Publishes Poetry Book

Sejal Akerkar, a Sammamish High School sophomore, recently self-published a collection of poetry on Amazon, walking down the sensory strip. The poetry collection sheds light on her triumphs and struggles as a young woman of color. All of the book’s proceeds will be donated to Udayan Care. Tulip Festival Reimagined for 2021

Spring is in the air and the tulips are blooming. The Skagit Valley Tulip Festival is made up of several events and activities spanning flower fields throughout the area during April. You can see the beautiful tulips in a safe and socially distanced manner this year. More here.

Sea-Tac Airport Has a New Testing Center

There’s a new COVID-19 testing station at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. The testing facility, hosted by XpresCheck, has a daily testing capacity of more than 500 tests. It will administer both the Rapid Molecular COVID-19 Test and the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test to passengers ages 5 and up. More here.
