Spend lunchtime on Friday taking in art at the Bellwether art walk in Bellevue.
The city will kick off its First Friday Art Walk from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Aug. 5. There will be art and live performances and it will coincide with Bellevue Arts Museum’s Free First Friday program. The museum will extend its hours from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and will have special programming and free admission.
The art walk follows the Bellwether exhibition, which runs from city hall, along the pedestrian corridor, and to Downtown Park. There will be two other art walks on Sept. 2 and Oct. 9.
Activities include poetry readings, interactive art, and dance and music performances. Can’t break away from your desk this Friday? There are free guided tours of Bellwether at 10 a.m. every Thursday. You can also take a self-guided tour using the app STQRY.
Bellwether is a juried show that features artworks in public places. There are sculptures and installations from 32 artists.
