Downtown Issaquah Brings Back The Blues

Get your groove on this summer as blues music returns to Issaquah. The Washington Blues Society and the Downtown Issaquah Association are teaming up to bring live blues music back to downtown Issaquah starting Thursday, July 8, and continuing through Aug. 26.

The seventh annual Gas Station Blues series will feature musicians including Jonn Del Toro Richardson, Eden Moody, and Chris Eger.

The free concerts, to be held at Issaquah’s Historic Shell Station on Thursdays at 7 p.m., join the extensive list of live music and community art showcases downtown Issaquah will host this summer. After moving online last year due to COVID concerns, the live music scene is back in full swing.

The series is among the Washington Blues Society’s many efforts to preserve and maintain the cultural importance and relevance of blues music — music that the society’s president calls “the root of all-American music.”
