This summer, the Woodinville’s 21 Acres will host youth camps focusing on farm-to-table eating, community building, and outdoor exploration. There will be four camps from June to August. Camps are for ages 7 to 12 and run from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday-Friday.
Farmers in Training: June 27-July 1
Kids will get to design and execute a restoration project as a team. It will teach team-building as well as environmental stewardship. Farmers-in-training will take home fresh produce, and the lunch item each day will be made with farm-fresh food.
Food From the Fields: July 11-15
Campers will prepare fresh, farm-to-table snacks each day and learn about creative cooking on the farm. There will be a guest visit from a falconer, and visits from local farmers.
Minds Crafting Your Garder: July 18-22
Campers will build their own gardens, and take them home. Gardens will be built using essential skills like hammering and sawing.
Pizza Organica: July 25-29, Aug. 1-5
The camp so nice it got an extra slive. This week-long time will have campers creating roasted snacks on a wood-fired oven. Campers will make a new pizza each day, all from scratch. Kids will get to experiment with different flavors and toppings. Best of all? The campers will host a pizza party for their families on the final day.
