Bellevue’s Goodwill store will be closing its doors January 17, 2017, and relocating to Redmond. The Bellevue location will remain open through Jan. 16 with only a two day closure before the new store open.

The store will move less than one mile to 15301 NE 24th Street in Redmond, and open its doors at 9 a.m. on January 19. It will cater to the fashion conscious as well as the penny pinchers, and also will accept donations from the community.

Goodwill says the move is based on customer feedback and that the new store will have more parking, a more conveniently located donation station, and a larger sales floor – the Redmond location will have 24,091 square feet, which is 9,645 square feet larger than the current sales floor at the Bellevue location.

Once the new store opens, there will be giveaway items for the first 300 customers.

This is just one of 24 Goodwill stores in the central and north Puget Sound region, and this location will employ about 125 people.
