What if your locally crafted kombucha, that effervescent drink that’s all the rage, could be delivered right to your door? Moo-ve over, milkman.

Puget Sound Kombucha Co. is launching a new home delivery program. The company has a Kickstarter to fund the new delivery service of its product. The company is entering the final week of its Kickstarter campaign and as of Monday had raised $3,180 of a $4,000 goal.

Kombucha is a drink made from fermented tea with a culture made out of bacteria and yeast. It’s known for its potential health benefits from its high levels of acetic acid, probiotics, enzymes, and vitamins.

Puget Sound Kombucha Co. makes the drink in three flavors: Earl Grey tea, Green tea, and Black and White blend – a blend of English breakfast and peony white tea.

With Puget Sound Kombucha’s service, six 16-oz bottles are delivered either weekly or every other week. The previous shipments bottles are picked up and reused. The service is $15 per week. Delivery is available in Seattle and on the Eastside.

The Kickstarter isn’t a donation, but rather a way to pre-buy a subscription.
