For the Love of Cheese at Metropolitan Market

Starting today and continuing through Oct. 7, Metropolitan Market will be cheesing up its stores for the annual “For the Love of Cheese” event. Celebrate your love of cheese with several special tastings, workshops and more.

Check out some of these noteworthy cheese events going on during For the Love of Cheese:

9/21, 4-7pm Meet Mt. Townsend Creamery owners Matt Day and Ryan Trail The duo is well-known for reinvigorating the dairy processing industry in the Northwest by introducing specialty cheeses made using traditional methods with a Northwest flavor.

9/19 11am-5pm Cheese Carving with Sarah Nep Come watch Sarah Nep sculpt hundreds of pounds of cheese into art you can eat.

Taste and compare cheeses at one of Metropolitan Market’s cheese tasting tent events. The Kirkland tasting events are from 4 to 7pm on Sept. 9 and Oct. 4

You could also win a $50 Metropolitan Market gift card. During For the Love of Cheese, Metropolitan Market is bringing in a large, mystery weight piece of BelGioioso Aged Sharp Provolone. Closest guess to the actual weight at each store will win the prize. Winners will be announced Oct. 9.

Metropolitan Market’s Kirkland location is at 10611 N.E. 68th St. Other locations include Queen Anne, Uptown, and Admiral in Seattle and Proctor in Tacoma.
