Love it: Jennifer Shea

And the things she loves

If you’ve had the pleasure of sinking your sugartooth into a dreamy Trophy Cupcakes and Party cupcake piled sky-high with buttercream frosting you can thank Jennifer Shea. This busy entrepreneur began building her cupcake empire in 2007 and now has five Trophy Cupcakes and Party locations in Seattle and a cute little shop at The Bravern in Bellevue. She got bit by the baking bug as a kid when she took her grandma’s pumpkin roll recipe and won a 4-H ribbon. Martha Stewart said her cupcakes are “utterly delicious” when she appeared on her show in 2008. Her cupcakes have also been featured in Vanity Fair, Sunset magazine and on The Food Network. And now she has a new book, “Trophy Cupcakes and Parties!,” that gives you tips to create cupcakes and fun at home. So how does this busy wife, mom and businesswoman do it all? The world may never know. But here are some of the things she loves that help make her days a little sweeter.
