Slideshow: Luly Yang Fashion Show

At an intimate event at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel, Luly Yang debuted her newest designs at the Luly Yang Couture 2013 Absoluly Martini fashion showcase. The show featured Luly Luxe couture evening and bridal collections, a new label with limited edition pieces designed to complement the Luly woman’s lifestyle (SEE SLIDESHOW).

The interactive debut allowed guests to enjoy a custom High Tea service at The Georgian while engaging with the Luly models. With the entire room serving as a runway, guests were able to talk with the models and appreciate Luly’s exquisite tailoring up close as they struck poses between the tables.

Inspired by a range of colorful cocktails, the elegant Absoluly Martini is joined in the collection by the creamy color combinations of the White Russian, the Manhattan’s rich browns with maraschino accents and the classic lines of the Martini. The Mojito proves a crowd favorite with playful textures and colorful character, and the White Martini embodies the Luly bride with soft, clean silhouettes. The collection is completed by the Cosmopolitan, featuring fun fuchsias and cranberry hues.

The show concluded with the serving of the signature Absoluly martini. Developed by veteran Terrace bartender Michael Vezzoni, the tart yet smooth cocktail consists of one part Absolut, one party Hynotiq and a splash of white cranberry juice. Following the show, guests enjoyed an intimate shopping experience at the “Luly Luxe Boutique,” where they were given the first opportunity to try on Luly Luxe bags, shoes and other statement pieces.

The event also featured the Style Bar, where guests sipped champagne as the skilled stylists of Gene Juarez touched up their hair and makeup. Signature lipstick shades made especially to match Luly’s collections were showcased, named for cosmo, Mojito and manhattan.

Luly Yang will be debuting her collection at the St. Regis San Francisco on May 2.
