What better way to kick off MLK weekend than by attending the screenings of Martin Luther King’s speech, “I Have a Dream,” and Greta Schiller’s film, The Man Who Drove with Mandela at the Seattle Art Museum?
This free event, Making a Movement: Martin & Mandela , is hosted by SAM, and reservations are recommended.
The films will be followed by a community dialogue and conversation about these two visionary leaders and how we can keep their dreams alive. The conversation will also explore ways to volunteer in honor of Dr. King and Mandela.
The event is co-presented by : Mandela Mandala, Seattle People of Color Salon, and Northwest African American Museum.
