Molbak’s Garden + Home, a beloved Woodinville institution, is celebrating its 60th anniversary this summer.

Molbak’s is a locally owned garden center and a great place to buy plants, gifts, and outdoor furniture. They also host workshops and they have the onsite Garden Café that serves wood-fired pizza, salads, and espresso and of course, wine! The café is surrounded by gardens designed by well-known horticulturist Richard Hartlage. He is the founder of Seattle’s Land Morphology and his work is known around the world.

A community gem, Molbak’s offers consumers a pleasant alternative to big chain stores. They are known especially for their wide variety of plants, which you can read all about here.

The store will host a 60th Anniversary Party July 16 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The party will feature a classic car show, food trucks, live music, hourly sales, an artist market, cake, lemonade, and a Molbak’s history walk.

The party coincided nicely with this year’s 3-day Sammamish Valley Celebration of Lavender and the Arts – where you can enjoy the beautiful blooming lavender and also find a variety of farms and businesses with activities for celebrating summer throughout the area.

Aside from the anniversary celebration, Molbak’s has many more summer events planned that you can read about here.
