Meet this week’s Pet of the Week: a toy poodle mix named Tillie.
This sweet girl was found in a box, severely neglected. She had mats all over her body and was missing patches of fur entirely. Her face was also covered in mats, and the vet was afraid she might lose one of her eyes, which hadn’t been exposed to air or daylight for some time. After visits to the groomer and to the ophthalmologist, though, Tillie is feeling infinitely better.
Tillie is a firecracker — not that she’s overly energetic — just that she’s got a lot of love packed into that little body. She is growing more comfortable and getting to know who she really is — who she is meant to be.
She would make a great dog for just about anyone — especially soccer fans, as she’s become quite the aficionado thanks to her foster family. Tillie ignores cats and is good with dogs. She’s currently learning how to interact and be social with other canine friends.
This pup has had a rough go of it, but she’s got a determined spirit, and she’s ready for a forever home. Maybe that’s yours?
