Plant-based vegan diets aren’t just about mindful eating. For many, it’s a necessity when faced with health-related dietary restrictions.
Salt & Straw is proving that ice cream can be as “vegandulgent” as its dairy-based counterparts. Using ingredients like oat milk, coconut, hazelnut butter, and even avocado to provide desired richness, it’s rolling out a new menu of ice cream flavors.
Options include Peanut Butter Strawberry Crumble, Coconut Rice Pudding, and Chocolate Hazelnut Cookies & Cream. The new flavors are featured until Feb. 5. Afterward, Salt & Straw will ensure 20 percent of the menu is vegan.
