Nordstrom in Alderwood Mall and downtown Seattle are among 30 locations that are now offering extended sizes across multiple departments and brands. The move is part of the retailer’s ongoing commitment to make the shopping experience inclusive for everybody — and every body — both online and in stores. Nordstrom launched the initiative online during the holiday season, with 40 brands making extended sizes. The initiative has now broadened to 30 stores, with 100 brands producing extended sizes. Nordstrom is not eliminating its existing plus-size or petite departments, but instead is working toward filling the gaps in sizes and integrating all sizes together for a more size-inclusive shopping experience. Shoppers will now find a greater selection of 0s, 2s, 14s, 16s, and 18s across multiple categories, including denim, dresses, swimwear, activewear and lingerie. New signage highlights the extended sizes in the participating stores.
