Virtual events are the new normal.
Last November, the Seattle Film Summit adapted its annual event, which provides value and education to Northwest filmmakers, to reflect the reality of COVID-19 by moving to the internet.
170 industry leaders took to the online stage to share their expertise across three weeks. Notably, these leaders were diverse — half female, a quarter BIPOC, and representative of nearly 30 countries. Participants included actors, writers, directors, talent agents, and distributors.
In total, the summit generated 70 hours of industry education through panels, table reads, and other showcases.
Filling The Void, the YouTube channel created for this event, live-streamed the conference. Videos are still up and can be viewed here.
