Pet of the Week: INXS

Meet INXS, a one-year-old domestic shorthair who’s ready to find her forever home. Although she’s named after the Australian rock band that had its heyday in the 1980s, her rock ‘n’ roll nature is a little under the radar.

INXS can be somewhat shy and avoidant, but she’s a curious cat, and warms up eventually to each person she meets.

She loves gentle pets and likes other adult cats (she’s not a huge fan of kittens). As most of us can probably understand, she prefers a quieter life. She’s found the best way to claim some space of her own at the Cat Lounge in Redmond: by climbing to the upper rafters and lazing about on the shelves. All day long, this gentle, quiet feline soaks up the sun and attention from passersby.

INXS was recently featured in the #WhyNotMePets program sponsored by Pawsitive Alliance and Pet Connection Magazine, which helps to highlight harder-to-adopt or longer term animals. We hope this is the last time INXS is in the spotlight, as she is ready for a lap and home to call her own.

This week’s Pet of the Week, INXS, is available for adoption at Motley Zoo Animal Rescue. Email adopt@motleyzoo.org for more information.

Motley Zoo is a Redmond-headquartered, foster-based, volunteer-run, nonprofit animal rescue that assists local, national, and international animals in need. The organization houses its animals in foster homes and also operates Rock Star Treatment Dog Daycare — a hybrid, service-based venture that helps support the rescue.
