Purple Café and Wine Bar Opens in Downtown Seattle

Heavy Restaurant Group announced a new Purple Café and Wine Bar has opened in Downtown Seattle as of Sept. 23. It will be open Tuesday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10. p.m.

The menu will be a mixture of Purple classics including Baked Brie and Lobster Mac and Cheese along with new seasonal items. The bar program will feature a handful of beers and cocktails as well as 24 wines available by the glass as well as wine flights, pairings, and 70+ offerings by the bottle. It will also have a wide variety of bottles available for purchase at retail price to enjoy at home.

The Bellevue location of Purple Café and Wine Bar closed in August, as well as Lot No, 3 and Cast Iron Studios, following financial challenges due to COVID-19.

“We have made the difficult decision to permanently close Purple Bellevue, Lot No, 3 and Cast Iron Studios. While all three restaurants were performing well through February 2020, the public health crisis surrounding Covid-19 has forced us to reconsider the mid-long term viability of our Bellevue restaurants,” Heavy Restaurant Group CEO Larry Kurofsky said in a statement in August.

To abide by social distance guidelines, all tables are spaced apart. There are 12-15 tables available for inside dining with another six outside on the courtyard patio while weather permits. In addition, guests will have access to the rooftop as a picnic area to enjoy takeout orders. For guests who feel more comfortable at home, online ordering for both takeout and delivery will be available.
