Queen Bee recently opened its third cafe — the first standalone location outside of an Aegis Living Community — in Clyde Hill.
The third installment in the Queen Bee franchise echoes the ideas and values instilled in its other locations, while also offering an expanded menu.
Queen Bee is owned by Aegis Living, which got its start in 1997. Dwayne Clark, CEO of Aegis Living, continues to donate 100 percent of its proceeds to a local charity. For its Bellevue location, the company has chosen to support Bellevue LifeSpring.
“Queen Bee cafes are one way the company gives back, while also providing a wonderful meeting place for residents and neighbors,” Clark said. “We enjoy being a part of a neighborhood and giving back to our broader community.”
The Clyde Hill cafe marks a new path and opportunity for Aegis Living to create an even bigger impact in the community.
“Creating a place to gather and create connections to neighbors and friends will result in social impact big and small. That belief, together with donating profits to local neighborhood charities, makes Queen Bee a special place that neighborhoods have happily welcomed,” Clark said of the company’s mission.
In opening of the standalone Queen Bee, Clark has breathed life back into Bellevue’s beloved Tully’s Coffee space and has received phenomenal reception through its food, values, and design.
