To celebrate EMP’s “Women Who Rock” exhibit, Seattle’s Hotel Max is offering an “I Love Rock & Roll” getaway package to guests this summer. The “Women Who Rock” exhibit, on display from June 14 to September 20, will feature “artifacts, videos, listening stations, and interviews from nearly a century of iconic women” in rock n’ roll, like Joan Jett, Grace Slick, and Madonna.
Hotel Max’s “I Love Rock n’ Roll” package includes two tickets and round-trip car service to the exhibit, in addition to a room on the hotel’s brand-new “Sub Pop” floor, equipped with an Epiphone guitar and a Vox amplifier. To create the Sub Pop floor, Hotel Max teamed-up with the rock label to decorate the rooms and provide turntables, label-curated vinyl records, and TVs featuring music videos from famed Sub Pop artists, like Nirvana, Soundgarden, Sonic Youth, and Flight of the Concords.
With a convenient location in the heart of downtown, Hotel Max is a boutique hotel with a modern, rock n’ roll vibe that features nontraditional art and photography. Whether native or visitor to the Emerald City, music and art lovers alike will enjoy the unique hotel, which attempts to offer each guest the “rock star” experience.
