On April 28, the Modern Architecture + Design Society (MA+DS) is coming to the Seattle area for the 2018 Modern Home Tour. The yearly event showcases builders’ work throughout the region and provides those who take the tour with fresh inspiration for their own dream homes.
“The Seattle Modern Home Tour is traditionally the first tour in our annual Pacific Northwest series, and it’s one we always look forward to,” said James Leasure, MA+DS founder and president. “Seattle’s modern movement in the area of residential architecture and design is inspiring and amazing. Every year we are fortunate enough to showcase some truly incredible designs from some of the area’s leading architects and home builders.”
Three homes on this year’s tour are located on the Eastside.
Noble Ridge Construction Home
The first home, known as the ‘Au Courant House,’ was built and developed in 2017 by Noble Ridge Construction, Inc. and designed by Medici Architects. The 4-bedroom, 3.5-bath home is 3,874 square feet and features a 600-square-foot rooftop deck with 180-degree views of the Cascade Mountains, among many other stunning features.
The second home, which is on the market, is located in Clyde Hill. The home was built in 2018 by BDR Fine Homes and designed by architect Jim Dwyer. The home has 5 bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms, and is 6,000 square feet. The palatial space features a large, covered outdoor room suitable for year-round use with heaters, a fireplace, a television, a barbecue, a chef’s kitchen, a wine grotto, and much more.
Build Urban Home
Finally, the third home is a 5-bedroom, 6-bath, 7,134-square-foot masterpiece with a 658-square-foot garage. The home was built in 2018 and centers around an exquisite atrium with incredible lighting, and plenty of space. This home works with its beautiful natural surroundings to create a seamless gem of a home anyone would feel comfortable in. Build Urban built the house, NB Design Group did the interior design, and Communita and Atelier did the landscape design.
